On this page, you will find links to a variety of publications and documents. Some of these are directly related to
our Camp and are located on our server while others are located elsewhere on the internet but you can link to them
through our site.
If you are interested in our Camp and what we are doing, feel free to read our online newsletter, "Dixie!". The name was actually derived from an
early 20th Century newspaper entitled "Dixie!" which was published for about 5 years right here in Jacksonville,
Florida. Just as their motto was true for their time, we hold it true today... "If it's right, we're for it!"
Two other items that you may find of interest are located in our "Documents Archive" folder. Though this page is an
ongoing work, it currently holds a couple of historical SCV documents. Both the 1902 USCV Constitution and the 1909 USCV Constitution are currently online and viewable
in PDF format. In order to view these files, you must have Adobe Acrobat Reader
or some other software capable of viewing PDF files installed on your system.
As many of you are aware, there has been an ongoing fight with the Duval County School Board and "certain special
interest groups" concerning the renaming of 13 Duval County schools which were named in honor of Confederate and
Southern Leaders. This latest round began last November and "seems" to have ended in our favor.
For now, it appears we have one Round One in this fight. For those interested, you can view the personal letter
from Duval County's new school superintendent, Joseph Wise, here: "Superintendent Wise's Letter".
Finally, if you would like to view the Florida Division newsletter, "The Blockade Runner" it too is located here.
Simply click on the link entitled "Florida Division Publications" and you will
be wisked away to the Florida Division website.
